Andy Smith

Andy Smith was born on April 2, 1973 in Rochdale, son of the stock car driving star Stuart Smith. Andy followed his father Stu into the world of car racing. At the age of 15 he was the British MiniStox Champion in the Hot Stox category. When he moved up into the Formula 1 he continued to prove that he was worthy of the Smith name and a talented driver in his own right.

By 1993 he was the F1 U.K. Open Champion and a year later the World Champion. At the age of 27 he has already accumulated 4 U.K. Open Championships (1993, 95, 97, 2000), 1 National Points Championship (1995), been crowned British Champion in 2000 and World Champion in 1994.
