VITA is a new residential building on the former brownfield site once occupied by the Gaythorn Gas Works.  It was designed by the architectural practice 5Plus Architects to provide 279 luxury student apartments.  The architects say that it is, "... aimed at the growing number of international and post graduate students who appreciate exceptional service, amenity and accommodation. It includes a 5,400ft² student hub offering a reception, lounge, games area, gym, movie room and group study space."
