Canada House

Canada House is a ten bay six storey warehouse built by W & G Higginbottom in 1909. The building is clad in orange terracotta.

At the rear of the building were these "taking-in" doors with their hydraulic hoists.

In the basement of the warehouse was the equipment used to bale cotton driven by a steam operated engine.

The building has a beautiful Art Nouveau gate and entrance doors.

Among the tenants of the building today is the Bannatyne's Health Club.
