87 Oldham Street is home to the Alcohol and Drug Service, a registered charity offering a variety of services to people dealing with drug and alcohol addictions. In their 30 years of operation they have helped more than 250,000 people. And every week they help more than 250 new people who have problems with alcohol and drugs. They have over 200 professional staff, over 200 trained volunteers and run 20 centres and two residential homes, in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Leeds. The lettering that says, "87 Henry Jacob 87" was discovered under a covering layer during restoration.
