Angel Gardens is a residential development, under construction in December of 2017, on a site at the corner of Miller Street and Rochdale Road adjacent to the Co-op headquarters building.  It involves a 33 storey tower and three 7 storey blocks configured in such a way as to create an internal courtyard.



Designed by the Glasgow architects HAUS Collective, and FUSE Studios, this project will provide, "... a total of 458 one, two and three bedroom apartments set around semi-private interactive gardens alongside bars, restaurants and retail space." The Fusion Studios website goes on to say that, ".... The building is arranged with the main resident entrance and reception space from Rochdale Road, with secondary access via secured resident lobbies from the central garden space. Residential apartments are located on floors 1 to 6 and 8 to 34 (various articles seem to disagree on just how tall the tower is going to be) with internal and external resident shared spaces located on 7th floor at the communal heart of the building. For residents, facilities include a meeting space, a fitness studio, a cinema and a sky lounge. An outdoor roof garden will have space for BBQs, gym and fitness classes, Yoga and a sport court. "
