Oxford House / National Technology Centre

Oxford House is tucked in beside the Mancunian Way where it crosses Oxford Road.  It is part of the Bruntwood portfolio of office buildings within Manchester's city centre.  They say of the building that it, "... has housed the National Computing Centre since 1966," adding that, "The modern reception area is fully glazed creating a bright and welcoming space to meet and greet your office visitors. There is a selection of high specification offices available at the building."

The building was designed by Cruickshank and Seward, the architects of much of the nearby UMIST campus, and built circa 1964.  It is faced in white concrete and tiles, again similar to many of their UMIST buildings.  The retail and cafĂ© units at street level were a later addition.
