University of Manchester - The George Begg Building

The George Begg building can, at best, be described as a "functional" structure located west of the Faraday Tower.  It was also designed by H. M. Fairhurst and Sons in 1974.  Originally the building had huge basement laboratories and drawing offices and lecture rooms on the upper floor.  The School of MACE (Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering) is located in the George Begg Building.
