The Whitworth Park Residence has earned the obvious nickname of "The Toblerones".  It is currently split into 8 triangular shaped houses called:  Thorncliffe, Aberdeen, Garstang, Dilworth, Derby, Burleigh, Acomb and Leamington.  It offers accommodation to 1085 undergraduate and 153 postgraduate students.   The complex was designed by the Building Design Partnership and built in 1973-74.
