AQA The AQA is the
Assessment and Qualifications Alliance, the largest of
the three English exam boards It is their role to
compile specifications and hold examinations in various
subjects at GCSE, AS and A Level and to offer vocational
qualifications. It awards 49% of full course GCSEs
and 42% of A-levels nationally. 3.5 million students
write exams with them each year. AQA is a
charitable trust that operates independent of
government.
The octagonal building, with a pointed roof, was designed by Playne and Lacey and was built in 1962. |
