17 Quay Street is built on the site of the Former Manchester & Salford Hospital for Skin Diseases, at the corner of Quay Street and Byrom Street.  This six-storey office building provides basement parking and is currently fully let to Direct Line Insurance Plc.  The building's owners, Invesco, sold it to Aviva Investors in May of 2010 for the sum of £23m; however, Direct Line continues to be the occupant since they still have 12 years remaining on their lease.
