The Instituto Cervantes occupies a building on Deansgate between Liverpool Road and Tonman Street. The building sits in front of the Higher Campsfield Market and linked to it by a glazed arcade. The building was designed by George Meek and opened in 1882 as a Free Library. On one end of the building is the Instituto Cervantes which offers Spanish courses and cultural activities.
