This is one of three similar footbridges created by Marsh Brothers Engineering Services Limited of Bakewell.


Marsh Brothers specialize in repairing, restoring and manufacturing copies of 18th to 19th century cast and wrought iron structures including balconies, staircases, and other decorative and structural features.  Their Castlefield  footbridges were manufactured on a rolled steel sub structure with cast iron cladding for the facade and balustrade. The design incorporates details that reflect existing cast iron in the locality.
