City Pubs

The 1863 "Slaters Directory of Manchester & Salford" listed 640 "Taverns and Public Houses" operating in the twin cities.  In 2011, even though the city centre has a reputation as a place to party on the weekend, the number of pubs has fallen to a fraction of that number.  In this section of the website we will try to introduce you to some that remain.
