The Pub / Zoo says of itself that it, "... is two great places in one. The Pub is situated on Grosvenor Street in the student-orientated ‘Southern Quarter’ of Manchester,

.....while Zoo is around the corner on Sidney Street. The Pub is a cosy, eclectic venue, with a mix of students and locals alike."

This may be a pub now but the building has an industrial appearance and in fact it was once the home of Duncan and Foster's Bakery with the Grosvenor Street block being the office and behind the bakery and garages.  If you follow THIS LINK you can see an image of the building in 1973.

The building is much older than that though.  You can see it, indicated by the red arrow, in the aerial photograph below taken on July 2, 1953.
