Originally this building, built between 1861 and 1862, was the offices of the Prestwich Poor Law Union.  It housed the guardians of the Prestwich Union Workhouse.  In later years it was an annex to the adjacent Cheetham Town Hall.  Today, it is home to Kacoo Fashion retailers.
