Manchester High School For Girls
|
![]() The distinctive pyramidal tower
on Dover Street surmounts the former Manchester High School for
Girls. The tower mirrors Waterhouse's University buildings and
Worthington's Nicholl's Hospital. The High School for Girls was
designed in 1881 by Mills and Murgatroyd, the architects of the Royal
Exchange.
Today it is known as the Dover Street Building of the University of Manchester. It is home to the Well-Being Room and the Dover Street Building Café. |
