Maxwell Hall and Maxwell Building - University
of Salford The Maxwell Hall (left above) and the
Maxwell Building (right above) occupy a site close to a
loop of the River Irwell and Peel Park in Salford.
The University of Salford's campus guide indicates that
the buildings are home to the university's business
school. They were built between 1959 and 1960 to a
design by the architect C. H. Simmons of the Lancashire
County Architects Department. The Pevsner Guide
describes the buildings as, " ... large and
restless with a lower part linked by a bridge to a
long angled block ..."
