Beside Sacred Trinity Church on Chapel Street is Caxton Hall.  References say that it was built in 1907 for the Typographical Society of Manchester.  However the plaque on the building says 1904. 


It was named Caxton Hall after the inventor of the printing press.  The building has always had connections with the trade union movement.
