Thomas Harrison
Thomas
Harrison was born in Richmond in Yorkshire in
1744. He was both an architect and an
engineer and in 1815 he was appointed as the
county surveyor of Cheshire. His only
commission in Manchester was to design the Portico
Library on Mosley Street.
