Cruikshank
& Seward
The architectural
practice of Cruikshank and Seward are very much active
in 2009. Their web site says of them,
"Cruickshank and Seward was founded as an
Architectural Practice in Manchester in 1923 and
carries out commissions both regionally and throughout
the UK. The Practice has extensive experience in
a wide range of sectors, notably Education,
Healthcare, Residential, Industrial and Listed
Building Conservation. Projects range from minor
works and adaptations through to major new-build
projects with a variety of procurement methods."
Their conservation work has included the Buxton Opera
House and the Chinese Arch.
Among the buildings that they have been responsible for in Manchester are: Elizabeth House, St Ann's Square, 1959 -1960 (apparently scheduled for demolition as part of the redevelopment of St Peter's Square) ******************* Barnett House,
