The
Lindley Gatehouse

that Edgar Wood designed in Lindley were commissioned
by the Sykes Family. The Lindley Gatehouse
marked the entrance to the Sykes family estate.
John Archer describes it as, "an odd building with a
peculiar scale and, for no particular reason, four
different roof levels." The building included
accommodation for the coachman.
