In his book "Looking Back at Belle Vue" Robert Nicholls says that the first wrestling match at Belle Vue was held in the Kings Hall on the 15th of December 1930. He goes on to add that wrestling at Belle Vue was prmoted by a husband and wife team, Jessie and Dick Rogers with Dick refereeing the matches.
