Description |

This office
building in Ørestad gets its name from
its shape which the architect
describes as a stylised wing that is,
" ... designed
to visually give the impression of
a floating house".
Adding to the sense of lightness, they
add that the building is, "
... completely
penetrated by light that, together
with the reflection from the water
from the waterfront, provides a
sense of air and spatiality."
The Winghouse is
managed by Brink Serviced Offices who
describe it as a, " ... unique,
distinctive and easily
recognisable building ... The
square in front of the building
leads into an impressive foyer
with its manned reception, high
ceilings and large, elegant glass
facades. From the reception area,
the business centre's 10 fully
equipped meeting rooms of
different sizes can be reached by
the large, impressive staircase or
by lift. At the back of the
building, the canteen serves both
breakfast and lunch to business
centre users and guests. In the
summer months, lunch can be
enjoyed on the large canteen patio
with views of Copenhagen."
The Winghouse is strategically located beside the Metro line that connects Ørestad with the centre of Copenhagen and the airport. It is part of a modern community with residential blocks, a large shopping mall and schools as neighbours. |
