Grindelwald
sits at the foot of the Eiger Mountain and
close to the World Heritage Site of
Jungfrau-Aletsch. At the heart of the
town is a relatively new development that
provides retail outlets, underground
parking, public toilets and open public
spaces suitable for events or viewpoints
from which to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
As the architect says, "...
A new building with the BEKB, COOP and
retail space develops from the ground
and opens up to the station. The
panoramic place on the roof offers a
great view of the mountains. The parking
is achieved with a three-story garage
under the multi-purpose court"
