Cllr Theo Blackwell of Camden Council is quoted as saying that, "... “5 Pancras Square is a fantastic new public services hub for Camden, as well as being one of the greenest public buildings in the UK.”  Bennetts Associates add that, "... The new building enables the council to significantly improve its face-to-face customer service points in the King’s Cross area, and deliver new, improved public library and leisure facilities sat beneath ten floors of office accommodation."

The building contains 2 swimming pools and a fitness centre in addition to a café, library and council administration offices.  In 2015 the building was awarded the Prime Minister's Better Public Building Award.
