                      | Description
 |
                      | Having built the ARCO building in
the Newman Quad of Keble College in the 1990s,
Rick Mather returned to complete the quad with
his Sloane Robinson Building.  The college
says that Mather, "... designed the
building to complement ARCO and used similar
materials such as the slate floor, the
imaginative glass panels and the formed
                            staircase."

The first two floors of the building
are home to a theatre accommodating an audience
of 250.  The seating is retractable and the
staging can be moved making the space very
adaptable to a variety of uses.  On the
third floor are the Douglas Price Room (a
multi-purpose room) and the Andrew and Christine
Hall Music Room (designed to be sound-proof and
                        appropriate for small recitals).  On
the floor above there are six seminar rooms and
above them are 20 study bedrooms.
