Description
|
Designed by the Spanish
architect Jose Maria Herrera Garcia, the
Museo de la Almoina offers visitors access
to the remains of Roman Valencia that sit
just below the surface of today's
city. A shallow glass-bottomed pool
outside of the museum offers a tempting
glimpse of the archeological structures
below. In fact, the museum offers
visitors an opportunity to see the entire
development of the city from Roman times
through the Islamic and Christian Middle
Ages.
