Description
This building, with its dramatic spiral walkway, is a modern extension to the Deutsches Historisches Museum.  It was designed by the Japanese/American architect I. M. Pei who was famously responsible for the pyramids at the Louvre in Paris.  This new exhibition space is known as the  Pei-Building and it is connected to the original building by a pedestrian tunnel.
