Description |
|
This apartment building sits
beside the Royal Victoria Dock, across
from the ExCel Exhibition Centre, in
London's Dockland. The architect's
website says of the building that, "
This 13 storey development of 73
mid-range apartments provides a
dramatic eastern gateway building to
London’s Royal Docks. Situated on
the waterfront with views to the
City & the City Airport, it is
the concluding development within
Phase 1 of this multi-award winning
Urban Village. A clever response to
context sees the building rise from
6 to 13 storeys, whilst speed of
delivery is enhanced by
approximately 85% prefabrication.
Continuous, glazed terraces enhance
amenity provision and an exceptional
net to gross ratio allows capital
expenditure to be focused on best
quality materials helping to
maximise longevity and
sustainability. From the
outset the building was designed to
ensure longevity by the inclusion of
a highly adaptable frame together
with the specification of high
performance cladding materials. A
concierge facility ensures the
ongoing management is as sustainable
as the building itself." |
