building on Ducie Street beside the Dale
Street Canal Basin is the Manchester home of
the architectural practice of Building
Design Partnership. BDP say of the
building they designed that it has, "
already been recognised as one of
the best new buildings in the city. ...the
office sets new standards for energy
efficiency in the North West of
England." They
add that, "We designed a
transparent north elevation to catch
limited light and complement the canal
basin while the street side displays a
confident punctuated stainless-steel
