groups. Its core business is the
publication of magazines, internet
publications, audio books and printed
books, with a weekly sale of
more than 650,000 magazines, read by
more than 3 million people throughout the
country.
This building, on the shores of Copenhagen's Inner Harbour, is their head office. It occupies a triangular-shaped promontory and, as a result, the building has a gently bowing triangular form. (The image above is

Its architects describe it as providing, "... 18.000 m² (of office space) .. distributed over 8 storeys with a maximum interior layout potential for up to 800 workstations, as well as approximately 10.000 m² basement area in two levels. The building is envisaged as a composition of movement that, with its gently curving and dynamic facade, creates suspense in relation to the static quay. A fan shaped atrium folds out within the building and opens toward both the sky and sea. The floor levels retreat further and further and create a varied space that changes from the close and intimate to the vast opening facing the water and enabling the long view up through the harbour. An exciting curving course is generated with tiered terracing and vantage lines through the building." |
