Description
This 1960s office block was apparently stripped back to its frame and refurbished by Fletcher Priest.  The "building.co.uk" website explains that, "... The 1960s west London office development has been given a new lease of life with a striking glass and terracotta exterior and dramatic spiral staircase in the entrance atrium."

The "gienergy.net" website adds that, "... The most significant changes of this renovation of this1960s office building are not immediately visible. The introduction of open-loop ground source heating and ground water cooling from 120 metre deep boreholes was selected as the best solution for heating and cooling the building. ...  Recent monitoring has indicated that the installation is reliable, and that it has generated energy savings in the region of 40 per cent.  The renovated building enjoys excellent levels of natural light, as the new ultra-thin fan coils maximise the ceiling heights. New cladding transforms the presence of the building on the street. This project was so successful that the other buildings along the street were subsequently renovated in the same manner and GI Energy have gone on to partner with Land Securities on a number of very high profile projects."
