Torre Mapfre occupies a site
close to Barcelona's beach looking out
across the Mediterranean. Named
after its owner, Mapfre the insurance
company, it stands 153 metres high
providing 40,000 square metres of office
space distributed over 42 floors.
Eight double-decker high-speed elevators
transport people between floors. The
building features projections on each
floor designed to protect the occupants
from the sun.     |
