Exchange House was built on top of a
bridge-like foundation that spans the
railway and underground lines running into
Liverpool Street Station. A large
parabolic arch spans the full width of the
Exchange Square side of the building and
other arches are concealed within the
building. The arches carry the
weight on to giant stone-faced pedestals. |
