Description
The sign high up on this building on Bishopsgate, across from Liverpool Street Station, declares it to be home to the Royal Bank of Scotland.  It was built as the London Headquarters of ABN Amro.  It was the first new building added to the Spitalfield Redevelopment site.  The architects say that, "The striking sharp-angled form of EPR Architects' landmark building creates a visual fork on Bishopsgate directing the flow of pedestrians towards the new quarter.  At the same time the transparent three-storey volume of the corner entrance hall offers intruiging views through the angular glass planes drawing attention inside the building itself."
