This elegant bridge,
that spans Santiago Calatrava's City of
Arts and Sciences, is something of a
mystery. It has every appearance of
being designed by Calatrava but I cannot
find proof of that on his website.
It certainly isn't listed as one of his
projects.
The bridge has two
decks each with a roadway and a
pedestrian pathway. They are
anchored at the ends and are supported
on tree-like structures below.
They are also
supported by piers on the central
walkway, between shallow pools of
water, that connects the Palau de les
Arts with the Hemisferic.
