The Giske Bridge
is a concrete beam bridge that links the
islands of Valderøya
and Giske near the city of Alesund on
Norway's coast. It forms part of the
Vigra Fixed Link system of roads, bridges
and tunnels that join together a number of
off-shore islands to Alesund. The
bridge has a total length of 552 metres with
the longest span being 52 metres. At
its highest point the road deck is 17 metres
above the sea. |
