Savoy Centre, Glasgow

Architect
Gavin Paterson and Sons
Date Built
1971 - 1979
Location
Sauchiehall Street
Description
This brutalist development occupies a block in Glasgow's city centre bound by Hope Street, Sauchiehall Street, Cambridge Street and Renfrew Street.  It is made up of a shopping centre and an office tower.  The shopping centre is described as two floors of windowless retail space accessed from both Sauchiehall Street and via the footbridge that crosses Renfrew Street.  In 2018 it was clearly in use although apparently there are plans to re-develop the site.
