Description
|
I
have found few architectural references to
this hotel building in Russell Square and
those I have found were less that
complimentary. The site was once home to
a different Imperial Hotel designed by the
architect Charles Fitzroy Doll who also
designed the nearby Russell Hotel and the
dining room on the Titanic, that was based on
the dining room in the Russell Hotel.
The original Imperial Hotel was built between
1905 and 1911 but was demolished in 1966 to
make way for the modern building we see
today.
