One of the first things
you notice as you enter the church is the
bronze statue of John the Baptist pointing
towards the tabernacle. The statue is
based upon the scripture references: "Behold
thelambof Godwho takes away thesinof the world"
and, "Heisjohnthevoice of one cryinginthe desert."
The statue is by Josef Welling.
The
church's booklet explains (if I
translated it correctly) that, "The
tabernacle,easterchandelier,altar,
baptismal fontandthelargecross were designedandsculpted byMs.Musse-Florin. The material iscast aluminum."
The tapestry on the wall behind the altar is
also by Frau Müsse - Florin.
