The Olympiaturm is a reinforced concrete communications tower built in the Munich Olympic Park in time for the 1972 Summer Olympics.  It stands 291 metres high and weighs 52.500 tones.  At the 190 metre height there is an observation platform.  Just below that, at the 181 metre level there is a revolving restaurant aptly called Restaurant 181. The restaurant seats 230 people and makes a complete revolution of the tower every 53 minutes.  The tower has one Deutsche Telekom maintenance elevator with a speed of 4 m/s, as well as two visitor lifts with a speed of 7 m/s which have a capacity of about 30 people per car.
