Description
The Zochonis Building, on Brunswick Street, is occupied by the Age and Cognitive Performance Research Centre.  It is named after Sir John Zochonis who ran the soap company PZ Cussons, formerly known as Paterson Zochonis, until 1993. The company's brands include Imperial Leather, Carex and Morning Fresh.  In addition to being one of the city's leading industrialists, he was one of the regions foremost philanthropists.  From 1987 until 1990 he was the Chairman of Manchester University's Council.
