Description
|
Tournament
House is located beside the road that leads into
Paddington Station. The lettering on the
side of the building indicates that it was part
of the Great Western Railway's complex of
buildings at the station. Originally it
was known as the "Arrivals Side Offices" but in
1987 its name was changed to Tournament
House. The building was designed by P. E.
Culverhouse of the GWR Chief Civil Engineer's
Office. Below the lettering, on the
building's side, there is a row of shell-like
protrusions which contain the lights that
illuminate the sign.
