Description
|
This
building, beside Lake Lille Lungegårdsvann in
central Bergen, was originally the
administration building for the city's
electrical power company. In 2003 it was
refurbished and reopened as a museum, one of
four grouped together beside the lake. The
KODE 4 website explains that it contains, "...
Norway's first art museum for children ...
On the ground floor we also show the great
exhibition with both painting and paper
works of Nikolai Astrup. On the 2nd
floor you can do an art historical walk from
the Renaissance to the 20th century, and the
3rd floor you can follow the movement in
20th century art, with an international and
local perspective." The
building is also home to the restaurant
"Lysverket". "
