Description
This department store, located between Oxford Street and Cavendish Street in London, was commissioned by the retailer D. H. Evans.  The architect chosen for the design was Louis David Blanc, who was Harrod's in-house architect.  The style has been described as German Art Deco.  The building is said to have cost £600,000 and when completed it provided eight and one-quarter acres of selling space on eight floors



The store was extensively refurbished in the early 1980s then in 1987 it changed its name to House of Fraser.
