Description
This former office block faces on to The Strand across from another of Aubrey Thomas' creations, the Royal Liver Building.  It is apparently one of the first steel-framed buildings in the country.  It is clad in grey granite on the first floor and above that with white terracotta made by Doultons.  Since 2006 it has been a mixed-use building with residential, commercial and retail occupants.  In 1975 it was given a Grade II* Listed status by English Heritage.
