The Parc de la Barceloneta is an open space between the Barceloneta and Vila Olímpica. The site was once associated with the gas industry and some remnants of its past remain including a gasometer and this water tower, designed by the modernist architect Josep Domènech i Estapà.

The 45m octagonal shaped tower is topped with a circular storage tank clad with a ceramic mosaic.
