Built in 1913 as an office
building for Credit Suisse, the six-storey
Peterhof is also known as the Grieder
Building. Its ornate facade, designed by
Otto Münch, looms over the luxury-brand
shops, banks and high-end hotels that dot
this area of Zurich's city centre.
Predominantly an office
building, the Peterhof is also home to
retail outlets at street level. The
historic Gothic revival building was sold by
Credit Suisse in 2014 to the Swiss watch
company Swatch for a reported CHF 450m.
