Description |
|
This small chapel was built in the 1920s
to replace the one that was demolished
when the entrance road to the Triana
Bridge was widened. It is constructed of
brick with decorative ceramic work by
Emilio Garcia Garcia. The building
is made up of two connected
elements. The Wikipedia site says
that, "One is a low building with a
dome covered with ceramics. The dome
is the shield of the Carmelite Order.
On the dome there is a small temple
with green columns. .... .... Inside the temple there are sculptures of Santa Justa and Rufina shielding the Giralda . The other body is more slender and high as a bell tower." |
