This building on Nutford
Place started life as the Eleventh Church of
Christ Scientist. It was designed by
O. P. Milne and built between 1926 and
1927. It features both Renaissance and
Italian Romanesque details. After the
church moved to a new location in Baker
Street, planning consent was given to
convert the building into what the builders
described as,
"... a performing
arts/theatre school, with additional
floors being installed to provide
accommodation over the Basement, Ground
and First to Fourth floors, with an
Apartment on the fourth floor."
